Pasta Sauces

This was my response to a brief that specified me to design an identity for a pasta sauce manufacturer based on traditional Italian recipes and show how I would apply the identity to its packaging.

Before conducting any design work, I undertook some research into Lewis Moberly - a consultancy who design work similar to what I would be designing. I looked at a range of their designs and analysed them. This prepared me for my design work because it gave me an insight into the conventions of packaging. I designed this sheet of research using Adobe InDesign CS6 at 3508x4962
This was the logo that I designed to represent the company. I believe it represents the traditional Italian identity that the brief specified me to base my designs around. I believe the typeface used for 'Pasquales' represents a trustworthiness which would appeal to customers, whilst I believe the typeface used for 'pasta sauce' represents a extravagant, high-quality product. I used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to produce the logo at 1073x321
I created a label to show how I would apply the identity to the pasta sauce packaging.  The design I produced enforces the traditional Italian themes whilst still maintaining a sophisticated style and the logo I produced fits effortlessly into the labelling. I designed the labelling using Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6 at 1890x1500.

Because the brief indicated that the manufacturer produced a range of pasta sauces, I created another label for a different recipe. I used a soft red for this label which symbolises the recipe. In addition to this, I used the orange from the previous design to establish a brand identity. I used Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6 to produce this design at 1890x1500.
